Living Within Parameters

James 1:22-25

Parameters are boundaries.

They are guidelines and borders.

Eg. – KID – coloring book

· Colors everywhere

· Ignores boundaries

With maturity comes the ability to stay within the lines.

However, in life – we all have experienced digression by being carnal and immature.

· We become like children

· Or we suffer from mental/spiritual defect

I believe this is caused by a mental condition called AMNESIA!

CHOICES & DECISIONS – NOT MISTAKES

Joshua 24:15

Sin is a choice

Righteousness is a better choice

The SIN Process – James 1:14-15

· All have a sin nature – Romans 3:23 / I John 1:8-10

Iniquity within awakened (iniquity can be ignored – Psalm 66:18) 

– lust

- Lust entertained (should have ignored) – enticed

- Lust embraced – sin occurs

- Sin acted upon - death
 

Continual sin becomes a habit

Sin is like a seed

Manifest in works of the flesh

Righteousness is like a seed

Manifest in fruit of the spirit
